You built a landing page. It's beautiful. No one converts.

Here's why: beauty doesn't convert. Clarity does.

The Winning Formula

**Above the Fold (First 2 seconds)**
- Headline: State the core benefit, not your company name
- Subheadline: Clarify who this is for and what happens when they take action
- One CTA button: Only one. "Schedule Free Consultation" or "Get Started"
- Visual: A real image of a result or person, not a stock photo

Bad: "Welcome to Sales Solutions Inc."
Good: "Close 40% More Deals in 90 Days (Here's How)"

**Social Proof (Seconds 3-5)**
- Client logos (if you have them)
- Number of companies served
- Testimonial from a recognizable industry

People believe other people more than they believe you.

**The Problem Statement (Seconds 5-10)**
Your visitors have a specific problem. Name it.

"Your sales team is good. But you're still losing deals to:
- Unclear follow-up process
- No lead scoring system
- Reps doing their own thing"

This makes them feel seen. Now they'll keep reading.

**Your Solution (Seconds 10-20)**
Show how you solve each problem.

Use before/after. Show the painful state, then the ideal state.

**Social Proof Again (Seconds 20-25)**
Another testimonial. A case study. Results.

**Final CTA (Seconds 25-30)**
Same button as the top. "Schedule Free Consultation"

The Numbers

This formula typically converts at:
- Cold traffic: 2-3%
- Warm traffic: 5-8%
- Existing audience: 8-15%

If you're below 1%, something in the formula is broken.

Test One Thing

Pick one element: headline, CTA button color, testimonial placement. Change it. Track results for 100 visitors. Then optimize.

Don't redesign the whole page. Change one variable at a time. That's how you find what actually works.
